Mothers Day Every Day Celebrates International Women's Day with White Ribbon Alliance and the ONE Campaign

Last month, Mothers Day Every Day Advisors joined leaders from the maternal, child and global health communities to celebrate the 100^th year of International Women's Day at a reception co-hosted by the White Ribbon Alliance and the ONE Campaign.   The intimate gathering of NGO leaders, friends and even a few celebrities swapped stories and were energized by the gains WRA-CARE's Mothers Day Every Day campaign has made with US policymakers toward improving global maternal health.  Guests --which included Mothers Day Every Day Co-Founder Theresa Shaver and Advisors Tammy Haddad, Anita McBride, Mike McCurry, Mark Green and Elsa Walsh-- were also inspired by the progress being made on global women's issues described in personal accounts of  recent trips to Africa with ONE and CARE.
